Dr. Koh has written a very accessible guide to the book of Galatians. Each section is laid out in a manner that draws the reader into his study. I was pleased that he centers every chapter on prayer as a starting point to get the reader in the right frame of mind before diving into the study itself. A lot of thought went into applying the Scripture with his Reflection exercise that combines supplemental verses along with historical context for the passage being studied. This is a unique Bible study guide that I found refreshing and inspirational.
As Dr. Koh walks the reader through Galatians, he immerses them in his substantial knowledge. I have never really known the heart of the Apostle Paul better than through Dr. Koh’s masterful blend of history, original language, and sincerity. His voice is clear and easy to follow. I appreciate that he doesn’t speak down to the lay person. This scholar definitely knows how to bring truth to light in a way that resonates with everyone. I am looking forward to additional book studies from this author. He has made Scripture open up for me in a new way and I am grateful for having been able to journey through this book with him. His writing is relatable and he speaks with authority. This is a must read for anyone who wants to understand Scripture in its original context and how it relates to us today.
