My blogging journey…..
Even though I started blogging two years ago, I am still finding my way around in unknown territories. I have been doing things wrong for two years! I did not have the time to learn the ropes as I was busy writing books. There is so much to learn in blogging. Setting up the website, designing the website, brain storming a suitable name and tagline, uploading the pages, choosing a domain name, are some of the initial hurdles Learning how to write and publish content and learning about SEO are more hurdles to cross.. Learning the art of blogging is practical and hands on, getting wet in the water, falling down and getting up again. No amount of theory will get you there.
I started blogging 2 years ago because I wanted to grow an audience for my books as I am a writer. This journey took me to unchartered territories. Starting from scratch with zero knowledge about blogging was not easy. Blogging is also very time consuming and labour intensive. A firm commitment is required to get you there. A half hearted commitment will not do.
Through this journey, I have learned a lot about blogging. I started with Wordpres.com and continued with it. WordPress.com is a good platform to start your blogging journey. It has a free plan to start your journey without burning a hole in your pocket. WordPress.com provides lots of online teaching courses for beginners. All you need to do is to register with WordPress.com on a free plan and proceed from there. You will look back 2 years down the road and congratulate yourself for making the choice!
Thank you for joining me on this adventure. I am so excited to continue this journey with you!
