Grace found me

🎶 A Song of Hope, Healing, and Faith

I’m grateful to share my latest song, “Grace Found Me,” a deeply personal and reflective piece inspired by a journey from doubt and brokenness to faith and restoration.

💭 The Heart Behind the Song

This song draws inspiration from the story behind From Stethoscope to Wisdom, a life marked by struggle, questions, and a near‑crippling injury that could have ended a career and hope. For many years, there was a reliance on intellect and reason, yet something within remained unsettled.

It was through pain, stillness, and moments of deep vulnerability that a greater truth began to emerge, God’s grace was quietly present all along.

🌿 A Journey from Brokenness to Faith

Grace Found Me tells a simple but powerful story:

  • Searching for meaning in the midst of success
  • Facing physical and emotional trials
  • Discovering that strength does not come from within, but from God
  • Experiencing restoration, purpose, and peace

The turning point is not dramatic, but gentle. Grace arriving in the most unexpected moments.

🎼 Musical Style and Feel

Musically, the song carries a warm, acoustic country folk feel, with a nostalgic tone that reflects storytelling at its best. The melody is intentionally simple and singable, allowing the message to shine through clearly.

The chorus, “Grace found me…” becomes the anchor of the song, reminding us again and again of God’s nearness.

✨ The Message

At its core, Grace Found Me is a testimony:

  • That we are never too far from God
  • That pain can become a pathway to purpose
  • That grace is not earned, it finds us

No matter where you are in your journey, this song is an invitation to pause, reflect, and remember that you are not alone.

🙏 Final Reflection

My prayer is that Grace Found Me will speak to your heart, especially in moments when life feels uncertain or overwhelming. May it remind you that even in the quietest struggles, God is working, restoring, healing, and leading you home.

“My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.” (2 Corinthians 12:9)

Thank you for listening and being part of this journey.

The Power of Gratitude

A Sacrifice of Praise

Scripture

Through him, then, let’s offer up a sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of lips which proclaim allegiance to his name. Hebrews 13:15.

Reflection

The Bible calls it a “sacrifice” of praise for a good reason. There are times when showing gratitude is honestly the last thing on your mind. When you really make a sacrifice, it means letting go of the right to complain, putting aside any bad vibes, and not getting caught up in feeling sorry for yourself. When you take a moment to say “Thank You, Lord,” even when times are tough, you’re giving God a special gift that goes beyond how you might feel right now. Feeling this kind of gratitude is super strong because it’s not tied to how you feel day-to-day, but is more about God’s constant nature.

When you sing songs and share genuine praises to God regularly, it really lifts your spirits and can totally change how you feel emotionally. Doing this not only lifts your spirits but also helps you feel a real sense of calm and happiness that really connects with you. When you really dive into this amazing connection, you may notice that the things weighing you down feel less heavy and easier to handle. Ultimately, this act of worship can bring about significant healing and rejuvenation in your soul.

In Hebrews 13:16, the writer was really pointing out how important it is to keep doing good things and to share what you have with others. This verse shows that doing good things for others isn’t just good for them, but it also makes God happy. He appreciates those acts of kindness and the sacrifices that you made. Engaging in good deeds and generosity strengthens your faith and spreads positivity in your community. Remembering this principle can significantly enhance your spiritual journey, as it aligns your heart with God’s will and purpose.

Colossians 3:16 drives home the idea that you should let the message of Christ sink into your heart and minds. You are invited to come together in a community of faith where you can sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs together. Plus, you should always keep this thankful attitude toward God in mind. This shows how worship, teaching, and gratitude are all connected in the Christian community of faith.

Meditations

Take a whole minute to really dive into feeling grateful. Think about all those little blessings in life you usually overlook or forget about in your everyday hustle. Think about how great it feels to breathe in that fresh air, how lucky you are to soak in the beautiful nature around you, and the happiness that comes from hearing your friends and family laugh. Picture those cozy clothes that wrap you up nice and warm, keeping the cold and wind away. They don’t just guard you from the weather. They make you feel like you belong somewhere.

Show your appreciation to God with a grateful heart. Take a moment to thank the Holy One for all the amazing blessings in your life. Take a moment to be thankful for the gift of Jesus Christ, who brings you hope and strength. Whenever you’re feeling low, do not forget to talk to Him about what is on your mind. And if you think you’re lacking in some way, just know that your resilience shines through. Everything you have comes from His amazing love, so express your gratitude with all our hearts.

Always keep a thankful heart for the amazing sacrifice He made. Don’t forget to appreciate the cross, which stands for the greatest act of love and saving grace. He came to rescue you when you were deep in sin. Just remember, His grace and mercy have no limits, and that’s something to hold close forever.

Triple Peace Explained

Devotion: Peace That Surpasses All Understanding

Scripture

And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7.

Reflection

The Hebrew word for peace is shalom, and it really means a lot in Jewish culture. Shalom is often used as a friendly greeting in the Hebrew-speaking community. It’s not just a way to say hi; it’s like wishing someone peace and happiness too. When you meet someone, especially in a Jewish setting, it’s polite to say shalom to help build a nice vibe. Using this greeting can definitely brighten up the mood and strengthen your connections with people.

Usually, feeling “at peace” goes hand in hand with being happy and just feeling good about life, where everything seems to click together nicely.. Your bills are handled, your kids are doing great, your boss is happy with you, and everyone at work is getting along just fine.

According to the Bible, peace means something different. It’s this deep kind of calm that you just can’t explain. This awesome feeling of peace can just show up when you least expect it. It doesn’t let outside stuff get in the way and feels super comforting even when you’re facing challenges.

Like when you’re sitting nervously in a hospital waiting area or trying to figure out the ups and downs of your relationships. You can totally feel the benefits of this peace without needing to understand every little thing about it. It’s like a shield that helps guard you from those heavy waves of anxiety and sadness.

The Bible explains that there are three unique kinds of peace that you can experience when you’re justified by grace, showing just how meaningful this triple peace is.

First off, there’s the peace of God, which gives you that calm feeling and security inside. Then, you have the peace from God, showing the blessings and comfort He shares with you when you reach out to Him. Lastly, there’s peace with God, which is all about fixing that relationship between you and your Creator. This is really important for a spiritual journey that feels meaningful.

In John 14:27, Jesus tells His followers, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you.” He’s making it clear that the peace He offers is different from what you will find in the world. Unlike the temporary and shallow peace that can come and go, His peace is deep and lasting. He encourages you not to worry and to let go of your fears. This really hits home as a soothing reminder that you can find true calm through Him.

Prayer

Father, I’ve discovered something that really matters. I don’t need a perfect life without problems to really feel at ease and find my inner peace.

I’m putting my energy into discovering this unique sense of peace that feels like a protective wall around my thoughts and feelings, helping me to deal with the day-to-day stuff with a little more grace and understanding.

Instead of stressing about being perfect, I’ve decided to focus on finding the peace that helps me feel good and enjoy life to the fullest. In the end, it’s this peace that helps me face whatever the day throws at me with courage.

I can’t thank You enough for the beautiful gift of grace. It really brings this awesome peace that seems to surround me all the time.

Your grace is far more than a mere abstract concept. It really changes how I live and gives me a wonderful sense of calm and confidence each day. Feeling forgiven brings a calm that fills my whole heart and mind that is beyond human understanding. I feel really grateful for this amazing experience that brightens up my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

He strengthens our faith, enlarges our hope, and replaces our anxious striving with steadfast trust. If you are in a season of delay, may this verse anchor your heart today:
God is never late. His timing is perfect, and His plans for you are good.🌟 Story Time: The Lantern on the Hillside(A short fictional story to inspire your week)Miriam lived in a quiet village nestled between rolling hills and winding streams. Every evening, she lit a small oil lantern and placed it on her windowsill. It was a simple tradition her late father had taught her: “Let your light shine where God has placed you.”One stormy night, as thunder roared and rain lashed against the rooftops, the entire village fell into darkness. People stumbled through their homes searching for candles and matches. But out on the hillside, amid the wind and rain, Miriam’s little lantern flickered faithfully.Down in the valley, a traveler named Elias was fighting his way through the storm. He had lost his map, his direction, and almost his courage. With soaked clothes and trembling hands, he whispered, “Lord, help me find my way.”Just then, through the curtain of rain, he saw a faint golden glow. A single light, small, but steady. He followed it up the hill and arrived at Miriam’s doorstep, exhausted and grateful. She welcomed him inside, warmed him with soup, and offered shelter until morning. As dawn broke, the storm cleared, and Elias prepared to continue his journey. Before leaving, he said,“Last night, your lantern saved my life. Why did you leave it burning during such a storm?”Miriam smiled softly.“My father once told me that even the smallest light can guide someone out of the deepest darkness. So I keep it shining, just in case someone needs it.”Elias walked away with a renewed heart, whispering a prayer of gratitude.
And from that day on, Miriam’s lantern became a symbol of hope for travelers far and near.Moral:
Your light may seem small, but God can use it to lead someone home.🤝 Let’s Stay ConnectedThank you for reading this month’s edition of Pens and Pages. The Power of Forgiveness: Finding Peace Within

Devotion: Passing the Cup

Scripture

And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you. Ephesians 4:32.

Reflection

Imagine grace as a vibrant river that flows through you, giving you what you need, instead of being a quiet pond that stays put next to you and your feelings.

When you finally understand the depth of God’s forgiveness to you, it will seriously alters how you feel about those who annoy, hurt, or let you down during your life.

Just because you decide to let go of the grudge doesn’t mean you’re saying what they did to you was right or should be brushed under the rug.

You’re making a real effort to shake off the emotional baggage they gave you, just like how Christ has taken away the emotional baggage of your sins..

If you keep being bitter and resentful, you’re locking yourself up in a prison of your own making. Your bad vibes and thoughts hold you captive.

When you actively choose to forgive people who had messed up with you, you’ll realize that you’re the one who ends up feeling good about it all.

Letting go of that bitterness not only helps you ditch the anger but also opens the door to healing and becoming a better version of yourself. Ultimately, embracing forgiveness can lead to a more fulfilling and peaceful existence.

Matthew 6:14-15 really hits the point that forgiveness matters a lot. It tells that when you forgive others, God will forgive you too. Letting go of what others have done to you can be tough, but if you do, God will be happy to forgive you as well. Holding onto those bad feelings keeps you from receiving God’s grace, so it’s better to release them.

Meditation

Reflect on a moment when someone did you dirty, leaving a mark on your heart and mind. Spend a moment to connect with all those feelings around that painful experience and really feel how heavy that grudge is.

Envision yourself in a nice chill moment where you’re finally letting go of that heavy “debt” you’re carrying, sharing it with God and honestly saying, “I choose to forgive because You forgave me first, and I really want that grace to shine in my life.”

Allow yourself to truly experience the relief that comes from letting go of anger and resentment by embracing the strength and change that forgiveness brings.

Taking a leap like this lets you let go of any bitterness that’s been weighing you down and helps you realize just how grateful you should be for those amazing moments that life has thrown your way.

Embrace Grace: A Bold Approach to God

Devotion: The Throne of Grace

Scripture

Let’s therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and may find grace for help in time of need. Hebrews 4:16.

Reflection

For someone who’s just starting out in the faith, talking to God can seem really intimidating. You may find yourself waiting for that “perfect day” or thinking that you should hold off until you’ve gone a while without any mistakes before you feel good enough to talk to Him.

This verse is awesome because the author of Hebrews says that you can come to Him with boldness and without fear. Why? Because God is ruling from is a throne room of grace.

Grace is when you get something good even if you didn’t earn or deserve it. Mercy is when you did not get punished for something bad you have done and deserve it.. Your standing before God is by grace trough faith in Christ. The cross is where grace and mercy meets.

The cross is like this amazing meeting point where grace and mercy come together in a really cool way. Grace is given to sinners who don’t deserve it. Mercy is offered to sinners who actually deserve it. On the cross, Christ’s grace makes it possible for sinners to be forgiven when they have faith.

His grace is like this powerful energy that helps you change your life. It’s not just something you get as a reward for making big changes in how you think and feel.

It’s this amazing grace that helps you start a journey of growing and changing, pushing you to go beyond what you thought you could do before. Don’t wait until you think you’re perfect or fully changed; this grace is always around to guide you and cheer you on as you make positive changes.

It’s all about knowing that justification, salvation, and transformation is received by grace, not something you need to do first to receive them.

Story

John Newton was once a slave trader. Back in 1748, during one of his voyages, his ship nearly went under. At that moment, he prayed to God, and surprisingly, God pulled him through. After a while, he quit the slave trade, became a pastor, and went on to write the amazing hymn Amazing Grace.

He always thinks back to March 21, 1748, because that’s when he really found his faith. He makes sure to celebrate that day every year like it’s his spiritual birthday.

57 years later, he wrote in his notebook, “I’m not really good at writing these days, but I just want to capture this day with a bit of humility, some prayers, and plenty of gratitude.”

Thought-Provoking Question

You can confidently come to God because Christ’s death has made things right between you and Him. The Bible talks about this as being justified by grace. When you trust in Christ and accept Him as your Lord and Savior, God sees you as though you’ve never sinned at all.

Just think about how life-changing it can be when you find the guts to walk right up to God and ask for help, instead of staying stuck in fear and doubt. It’s all about bringing your real needs out into the open.

How do you think this decision could change how you connect with Him? And how may it really impact your journey to finding inner peace, feeling satisfied, and gaining clarity?

Looking at things this way may help you build a more genuine connection and really get to know what you want and who you truly are. What amazing changes will you experience in your life when you approach God with confidence, knowing that your sins are forgiven?

GRACE is God’s Riches In Christ’s expense. This is an appropriate acronym.

Is there a mistake in “hiding” from God right now? How would it feel to walk boldly to Him and ask for help instead of hiding?

Understanding God’s Forgiveness: East vs. West

Devotion: as far as the east is from the west

 Scripture

As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us. Psalm 103:12.

 Reflection

Have you ever tried to get a really tough stain out of your carpet, and no matter how hard you scrub, there’s still a faint mark left behind??

Going through this thought can make you feel like God’s forgiveness is kind of like holding onto that old stain from your mistakes. You may think He has forgiven you, but that He still notices that mess you made in the past.

Just so you know, God’s grace does more than tidy things up. It totally gets rid of your sins.

So, how far is the East from the West?

When you head all the way up North at the equator until you hit the North Pole, you’ll have no choice but to start heading South again until you reach the South pole. But if you travel East at the equator, you’ll never actually reach the West. The East and the West just don’t meet. God wipes your sins clean, stretching them out as far as the East is from the West.

God, with all His love and wisdom, doesn’t just stash your sins away for later. He wipes them out completely, giving you the amazing chance to start fresh today.

You can move ahead, feeling light and free, letting go of the burdens from the past, and getting ready to embrace a life filled with hope and fresh beginnings.

Your missteps shouldn’t dictate your self-worth. Each morning is a new opportunity to reinvent yourself and find what you’re really here for.

Every day is like a beautiful gift, giving you the chance to start fresh and dive into new experiences and opportunities that can really change your lives for the better.

There’s something special about knowing that every sunrise gives you a fresh start. It’s like a chance to try new things and tackle whatever life throws at you with more energy and hope.

When you accept this gift, you find out how refreshing it feels to dive into the unknown, excited to learn and grow from whatever happens next.

In this never-ending cycle of change, you discover not just a chance to grow personally but also the happiness of enjoying life right now.

 Prayer

Father, thank You for the distance You have placed between me and the mistakes I’ve made in my past.

Thanks for all the help you’ve given me to move on, and I’d love your gentle guidance to keep me from going back to the things you’ve already taken away.

Please give me the strength to focus on right now and what’s coming up next, instead of letting old memories drag me down since I can’t switch them up.

I trust that you’ll guide me and help me avoid going back to those old, harmful patterns that only make things harder for me.

Help me look forward to the future with a clear head and a positive attitude. I believe that Your support will help me stay focused and find my way. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Anchored in the promise

Devotion

Scripture

This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, a hope both sure and steadfast and entering into that which is within the veil. Hebrews 6:19.

Reflection

When the water is super calm and the ships are tied up well at the dock, they don’t really need to rely on anchors.

It’s really only when strong waves start pulling or when the wind kicks up that anchors become super important.

Jesus Christ is the strong anchor for your soul, always there for you when things get tough. When life’s storms hit hard, He is the one who keeps your boat from sinking and helps you stay safe. Having Him around brings you peace and steadiness, so you can face anything that comes your way with confidence. In the end, it is His amazing support that keeps you steady, no matter how chaotic things get.

The Bible has some good stuff about finding peace when life gets heavy, like in Matthew 11:28. It says, “Come to me, all who are weary, and I will give you rest.” This is a nice reminder that you are not alone when things get tough. Jesus gives you a warm hug, telling you that peace is waiting for you when life gets heavy. Leaning into Him will really help you feel refreshed again.

Your faith in Christ is like a strong anchor for your soul when life gets wild, hitting you with surprise bills, health issues, or tough relationship stuff, trying to pull you away from that calm feeling you had on Day 1.

But it’s important to understand that an anchor’s real effectiveness isn’t just about how strong the boat is. It only holds firm when it’s connected to something really solid and dependable.

This solid foundation is really grounded in God’s promises that never change, which brings you a lot of comfort and a feeling of security. Trust in Christ, the solid foundation for your life.

Even when life feels like a rough sea tossing your boat around, God is there as an anchor that keeps holding your boat firm and steady.

In a world filled with uncertainty and turmoil, it’s this divine assurance that keeps you grounded and stable. God’s unwavering support acts as a reminder of the strength you can find if you have faith during life’s unpredictable storms.

Meditation

Take a moment to breathe deeply, close your eyes, and let your mind drift off into a lovely place all alone with Jesus sitting by your side. This is where you feel all warm and cozy.

Take a breather in this chill spot and soak in all the peace and quiet around you. Let all your stress fade away. As you do this, pay attention to the wise words that remind you to be still and know that He is God, like it says in Psalm 46:10. Let this call for calm lead you into some deep spiritual thinking and relaxation. Just let the quiet surround you and recognize His presence in your life.

Take a moment to really feel this: “No matter how wild the storm gets and how loud the winds are, I discover my calm right in the eye of this craziness.”

Think of life’s ups and downs as just a background noise, showing off the steady peace that’s deep inside you. It’s a good time to appreciate that God is your anchor to stabilise you.

The bible says that Christ’s grace is sufficient for you. His strength really shines through when you are feeling weak. 2 Corinthians 12:9-11. He is your anchor.

With Christ giving you strength, you can handle anything that comes your way. Philippians 4:13.
