Finding Strength in Faith: Embrace God’s Guidance

Strength Not Your Own

Scripture

Haven’t I commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Don’t be afraid. Don’t be dismayed, for Yahweh your God[is with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9

Reflection

Courage is more than just not feeling afraid. It’s more about having a strong sense of God in your life. When Joshua took over as the leader of the Israelites, he must have felt super overwhelmed and a bit unsure about himself with all that pressure and the big challenges waiting for him. Instead of laying out a whole battle strategy or just boosting his morale for a moment, God reassured him by saying He would always have his back covered.

Feeling anxious about sharing your beliefs with a coworker is totally normal, especially when you’re in a heated chat about values. It’s just part of being human. However, it’s essential to remember that you’re never truly alone in these moments. There is always the Holy Spirit by your side, who has already paved the way for you.

When life feels overwhelming and you’re feeling a bit off track, take a moment to just breathe and remember this important truth. He promises to stick by your side, no matter where you go or what challenges you deal with.

Having this kind of confidence can turn into a powerful strength, giving you the courage to deal with whatever life throws at you. Just remember, you’re not alone in your challenges, and there’s always His guiding presence with you during the hard times. So, embrace this promise and draw on His strength to overcome any obstacles you may face!

Prayer

Father, whenever I’m feeling overwhelmed by how tiny I am in this huge world, I’d love a little reminder that You’re right there with me, supporting and guiding me through it all. I’m really looking for some ways to tap into my inner strength and have the courage to stick with my faith. I really want to believe that even during the rough patches when I feel all by myself, I’m not truly alone on this wild ride we call life, no matter how lonely it might feel.

I want to claim the amazing promise in Matthew 28:20, which reminds me that You’ll always be there for me no matter what I go through, giving me guidance and support right until the end of time.

I want to claim the promise of Isaiah 41:10, not to be afraid because You are right here with me. I will not be dismayed because You are my God. You have my back covered and will give me strength to help me out, lifting me up with Your righteous right hand.

I want to claim the promise of Psalm 23:4, that even in tough times, like when I am in that scary valley, I will not be afraid because You are with me and Your guidance brings me comfort. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Dr. Koh has an eye opening way to bring you closer to Bible and following Christ. For many years because of person experience in my life I wasn’t sure if Christ loved me, cared about me, or if he was even real. Then I found this book on a different blog and decided to read it. It says 33 days but honestly it’s kinda hard to stop reading the powerful things being said. It really made me think about things differently. Thank you Dr. Koh. 5 stars (1 out of 87 Amazon Reviews, Average star rating 4.8/5.0)
