Iron Sharpens Iron
Scripture
Iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens his friend’s countenance. Proverbs 27:17
Reflection
One piece of coal from the fireplace cools down fast, but when you’ve got a bunch of coals together, they keep the fire burning strong. Faith isn’t meant to be a solo journey. When you’re new in the faith, it’s great to have folks nearby who can boost your spirits, clear up your questions, and give you a better grasp on spiritual things. Searching for your crew isn’t about finding perfect people. It’s really about surrounding yourself with a community that helps redirect you to Jesus when you’re feeling down or unsure. Just like how iron gets tough by rubbing against other metal, you need these supportive and caring relationships in your church family to help you develop and reach your full potential.
Look for a warm and welcoming church that believes in the Bible. Get involved, help out, and grow your faith there. Try to check out different church events that help bring people together and build friendships. You may also want to take a Bible study class to really dig into the scriptures.
Joining a small group can truly be a rewarding decision that you should consider! In that cozy space, you’re totally welcome to ask any questions that have been on your mind, share what you’re thinking or feeling more freely, and get some great support from others that can really boost your prayer life. Being in a community like this will make your spiritual journey much richer and help you connect with others who share your interests. Engaging in such supportive environments often leads to profound personal growth and stronger faith.
Unity is powerful. Ecclesiastes 4:12 reminds you that when you are alone, it’s easy for you to get overwhelmed by tough times. But when you have two people, you can handle challenges better and guard against problems. This verse says that a rope with three strands is way tougher and less likely to break, highlighting how crucial teamwork is when dealing with tough times.
Prayer
Father, I’m really looking forward to meeting a bunch of awesome folks who share my Christian values. I want to dive into my faith and hopefully help out anyone who could use a little support.
I want to meet friends who will support my faith, motivate me, and help me stay passionate about You. I really want to be part of a lively community that helps me grow spiritually and builds deep, meaningful connections that show Your love and kindness.
I think it would be amazing to meet some inspiring believers who can really lift my spirit and help me do good for others. .
Help me find a church that really stands by the Bible and teach sound Christian doctrines. Help me to find a small group that’s into Bible study and discipleship so I can mature in the grace and knowledge of the Lord. Help me to be part of a faith community that cares about spiritual growth. In Jesus’ name, Amen

- Big Mike &Tabi5.0 out of 5 stars An awesome prospect to understand the Bible. Reviewed in the United States on March 19, 2026 Format: Kindle. Dr. Koh has an eye opening way to bring you closer to Bible and following Christ. For many years because of person experience in my life I wasn’t sure if Christ loved me, cared about me, or if he was even real. Then I found this book on a different blog and decided to read it. It says 33 days but honestly it’s kinda hard to stop reading the powerful things being said. It really made me think about things differently. Thank you Dr. Koh. 5 stars (1 out of 59 Amazon Reviews, Average star rating 4.9/5.0)
