Ancient Shiloh

Ancient Shiloh is a biblical city of Samaria excavated in the archaeological site of Tel Shiloh, located in the West Bank near modern Shilo. It is mentioned in the Books of Joshua, Judges, 1 Samuel, 1 Kings, Psalms and Jeremiah. According to 1 Sam 1, Samuel’s mother Hanna dedicated him here to be raised by the high priest Eli.
