Redeem Your Time: A Guide to Spiritual Stewardship

The devotion emphasises the importance of time management, suggesting that being a good steward involves making intentional choices to focus on what truly matters, like family and spiritual well-being. It encourages readers to reflect on their daily activities and eliminate distractions, thus using their time wisely to enhance their spiritual journey and build meaningful relationships.

Managing the Gift of Time

Scripture

Therefore watch carefully how you walk, not as unwise, but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Ephesians 5:15-16

Reflection

Being a good steward means more than just managing cash. It’s really about making the best use of your time, since that’s what you value the most. When you say “redeem the time,” you mean taking it back from activities that have wasted it.

These days, with screens and distractions all around you, it’s super easy to lose track of time and let the hours slip away.

Being in charge of your own life means making a choice to focus on what’s really important. This can be things like spending quality time with family, getting plenty of sleep, and looking after your spiritual side.

It’s not just about cramming more hours into your already packed day. It’s really about tapping into God’s wisdom to make the most of the time you already have.

Realizing that life is a special gift makes you want to put your energy into things that create great experiences and build strong relationships. Ultimately, making intentional choices will help you use your time wisely in pursuit of what genuinely counts.

Time and tide don’t wait for anyone, do they? When these moments are gone, they’re gone forever. Once time has slipped away, you can’t get it back, so, you really need to think about how you use your time. It’s super important not to waste your time on stuff that doesn’t matter. Let’s try to make every moment special and build memories that you can hold onto forever.

Meditation

Look over what you’ve got on your plate for the next day and try to spot at least one thing you keep doing that eats up your time. If you make a choice to cut back on that distraction, you can snag yourself a good ten minutes of peace. It gives your spirit that important break to really breathe and bond with God.

Changing things up a bit could really help you feel more peaceful and energized, letting you connect better with yourself. Take a moment to just chill and see it as a great chance to boost your spiritual journey in ways you may not expect.

Taking a moment to pause and reflect can lead to profound insights and a renewed sense of direction in life. Allowing yourself this time for contemplation will create opportunities for personal growth and transformation. Embracing these moments of stillness may just unlock new perspectives that will significantly enhance your spiritual journey. Ultimately, dedicating time to think deeply will truly shift the trajectory of your life for the better.

Prayer

Father, help us to be steward of your time. Give us wisdom in time management. Help us to redeem thetime that we have wasted doing things that are not according to Your will. Help us redeem time by putting the remaining time that we have to good use, to serve YOu in the kingdom, to do Your will, to share the gospel. We pray that whatever we do today and everyday, will be done for your glory.

Help us be a true reflection of Your glory, to influence our community through words and actions. Help us spread Your glory by encouraging others.

Help us share Your gospel, reflect Your glory, and be the salt and light of the world through our Christian life style, and testimony. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Dr. Koh has an eye opening way to bring you closer to Bible and following Christ. For many years because of person experience in my life I wasn’t sure if Christ loved me, cared about me, or if he was even real. Then I found this book on a different blog and decided to read it. It says 33 days but honestly it’s kinda hard to stop reading the powerful things being said. It really made me think about things differently. Thank you Dr. Koh.
